An organization passcode, also known as a "Location Code," is an additional layer of security for your organization’s roster. This passcode can be customized to meet your specific needs. Depending on your settings, the passcode can be required for either unverified workers or all workers to verify their workplace during account creation.
- An unverified worker is a worker who is not listed on the organization's roster.
- This option can be toggled off or edited. However, it is advisable to keep it enabled to maintain roster security.
- Passcodes can be found in the Branch-provided marketing materials or in Pay Admin.
Locating an Organization Passcode
- Log into Pay Admin.
- Click on the Settings gear ⚙️ in the upper-right corner.
- Select Worker Onboarding.
- Your organization's passcode is listed under "Onboarding Links" → "Passcode"
Passcode Requirement Options
There are three passcode requirement options:

This option would allow any workers, regardless if they are on the roster or not, to sign up for Branch via your location.

This option would require all workers, verified and unverified, to enter a passcode during their Branch account creation to successfully sign up. |
This option would only require the passcode for workers not listed on the roster. Workers listed on the roster (a.k.a., verified workers) are not prompted to enter the passcode. |

Branch is not a bank. Banking services are provided by Lead Bank, Member FDIC and Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, which are Branch’s bank partners. The name of the bank partner for your account is listed on the back of your debit card and can also be found in the Branch App under “Your Account Information”. FDIC insurance only applies to eligible accounts should the bank holding your funds fail. Branch Mastercard Debit Cards are issued by Evolve Bank & Trust or Lead Bank, Member FDIC, as applicable, pursuant to a license from Mastercard and may be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted.
