This type of signup process is used when the organization provides a username and password on the Roster file sent to Branch. Then, Branch surfaces a login page on sign-up for workers of this organization.
Creating Worker Passwords
Our recommendation is to use a combination of the worker’s EID and the last four of their SSN. Other recommendations include:
- Avoid using personal information such as your name, birthday, user name, phone number, or email address.
- Use a longer password. Passwords should be at least 8 characters long. For extra security, it should be longer.
- Don't use the same password for each account.
- Avoid using words that can be found in the dictionary.
- For example, swimming1 would be a weak password.
- Include numbers, characters, and both uppercase and lowercase letters. Including symbols would make it even stronger.

Branch is not a bank. Banking services are provided by Lead Bank, Member FDIC and Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, which are Branch’s bank partners. The name of the bank partner for your account is listed on the back of your debit card and can also be found in the Branch App under “Your Account Information”. FDIC insurance only applies to eligible accounts should the bank holding your funds fail. Branch Mastercard Debit Cards are issued by Evolve Bank & Trust or Lead Bank, Member FDIC, as applicable, pursuant to a license from Mastercard and may be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted.
